The Race for the Racehorse

Since our last update the Agent who represents the owner of the Racehorse has contacted our committee with an offer of a lease.

This means we can again move forward with the Race for the Racehorse.

We have already had an initial meeting with the agent and were able to point out areas of difficulty for us in the lease, as we look into resetting our expectations for the pub.

We need to work out if leasing the Racehorse is a favourable option for the village. We are currently reassessing our business plan, seeking information from other community pubs and taking advice from the Plunkett Foundation. We are also keen to know what our ‘pledgers’ think. So please share your thoughts, via email or by talking to any member of the committee.

Hopefully you will be able to come to the next ‘Pop Up Pub’ which will be in the village hall on September 7th, which will offer an good opportunity to discuss. We will, of course, keep you posted of any further developments.
